Clinical Curriculum Evaluation Tracking System

To acquire and implement a web-based system that will allow for clerkship evaluation, duty hour tracking, and patient encounter/procedure tracking.  This web-based system will streamline the evaluation process for the clerkships and will allow for systematic monitoring of duty hours across the clerkship experiences in the third and fourth years.  Additionally, it will allow for systematic review of patient encounters and procedures across our clinical sites which will inform our educational programs.  This web-based system will enable UTMS-H to monitor duty hours and student clinical experiences in accordance with the LCME accreditation standards and with our mission to graduate doctors who are proficient in basic clinical skills. The SCSC facility is in the basement level of the medical school. The facility measures approximately 14,000 square feet.  SCSC will house a variety of educational and training activities which includes a standardized patient program, a simulation center, a surgical skill center, a microsurgical training center, a virtual reality training center. The SCSC is improve education through evidence based medicine, innovative research, and clinical excellence.
